I grew up in Cranston, RI and graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Sports, Entertainment, & Event Management – yes, it’s a mouthful! My first taste of weddings was my internship with a local wedding planner and it was love at first wedding. Upon graduation, I went on to work for a well known design firm, learning about site plans, lighting design, logistics, production planning and so much more. I then moved to Las Vegas where I worked as an operations coordinator for an event staffing agency that worked with event management/marketing companies who planned the events for large tech companies on the Las Vegas Strip. After experiencing corporate events, I began missing the more intimate gatherings so I started working in sales for a well-known catering company in town. But home was calling and I moved back to where it all started. I’ve become very well rounded in all facets of the event industry. From logistics, production, design, planning – and everything in between! When I’m not busy bringing my couple’s wedding to life, I am obsessing over my long-haired mini dachshund, Luca!

Rarely in one place for too long, I am Mavinhouse’s resident traveler. With a deep desire to explore new places and continue to hone my skills, I am most fulfilled when planning weddings and social events at unconventional venues or passport-required destinations. I have been active in the events industry for nearly two decades, even earning a degree in Sports, Entertainment and Event Management with a concentration in International Hospitality Operations. Having prior experience in catering sales and operations, marketing, and venue coordination spanning Massachusetts, New York City, and Maine, I have orchestrated hundreds of celebrations in nearly every type of setting from intimate parties of 15 to weekend affairs for 300+. If your dream day involves intricate transportation by bicycle, boat, or even barge – rest assured I have the experience to execute a seamless and thoughtful guest experience. I excel at the nitty-gritty details needed to provide the foundation for a beautiful design plan, and feel most inspired when working on non-traditional celebrations taking place around the corner, or across the globe. I look forward to the fun that awaits us!

I moved to and fell in love with the North Shore over 13 years ago and have never looked back. My first introduction to the North Shore was when I moved to Beverly, MA to attend school at Endicott College. After gaining a degree in Hospitality and Event Management, I tested out a few North Shore coastal towns, but eventually settled closer to Boston. Over the last decade I have worked for some of the largest catering companies in Boston and the North Shore, being able to do combine my lifelong passions of food and planning. Whether planning corporate gatherings, intimate wine dinners or weddings, I love creating events that stimulate all senses and awe guests, while creating a seamless and fun planning experience for clients. From a classic Boston ballroom, to the quintessential New England rustic (but chic!) wedding, to an ocean front private estate celebration, I always strive to ensure that every element represents the couples personality. I pride myself on planning and coordinating with an infectious personality, while always keeping a calming presence. I feel lucky to say that I was born and raised in Ipswich, MA, a small coastal town north of Boston. The beach and the ocean have always been a huge part of my life and a source of inspiration. Prior to joining the Mavinhouse team, I studied Recreation Management Policy and Event Management at UNH; spent 10 memorable years managing weddings and Private Events at the historic Crane Estate; and from there became the Director of Sales and Events for the largest catering company on The North Shore. Needless to say, if you are hosting a classic coastal or a rustic New England wedding then you’ve come to the right place! Throughout the last 15 years, I have had the pleasure of planning and executing hundreds of weddings. Whether you are choosing a traditional wedding venue, a farm in the countryside, or your family’s home by the ocean – I have seen and done it all! Still to this day, my favorite part is seeing our plans come to life for a seamless and unforgettable day. I grew up in a little seaside village called Jamestown, just outside of Newport RI. I studied Business and Marketing at the University of Rhode Island, and shortly after I took a plunge into the events and hospitality world as a lead designer for an esteemed event firm. I spent many years honing my skills on how to marry beautiful design with infrastructure and site logistics; building out production teams, engineering lighting and floral structures, custom-crafting backdrops and dance floors – you name it, I did it! I find inspiration everywhere – at the farmer’s market, local restaurants, and of course exploring the coastline of New England. I have an incredibly high attention to detail and I get most excited about translating your wedding vision into a reality!
