The Philosophy.

The founders of Mavinhouse have over a decade of experience in the events industry, and Mavinhouse’s sister company 42 North has been nationally recognized by major media outlets including Brides, Vogue, and Harpers.

Seeing a gap in the industry, founders Britt Cole and Francie Dorman created Mavinhouse to serve a stylish, sophisticated client who wants to be involved in the process of curating and designing their celebration.

    Comprehensive Wedding Weekend Planning + Custom Design Partnership

    Having a planning partner by your side to help you design and curate your event from the beginning ensures that you have the necessary support throughout the process — ultimately saving you time, money…and sanity!

    This partnership is perfect for you if you’re planning a destination-style, weekend long celebration at a venue and you’re seeking a professional partner to guide you from start to finish.

    We’ll oversee every detail from finding the perfect venue, to making sure you have your cocktail of choice in hand just after (or before!) those jittery I-dos. It is the most comprehensive partnership we offer, and is perfect for the couple who wants a high level of support as they plan and design their event.

    This partnership begins post-engagement, but prior to the start of venue search to ensure that your event is built on a strong foundation from the beginning. 

    Planning
    We will match you with the best venue and creative vendor team based on your taste preferences in order to make sure that every detail is thoughtfully considered and flawlessly executed. We will also oversee the planning of your rehearsal dinner, if desired. 

    Design
    We will collaborate with your team of creative vendors (such as your florist and rental company) in order to create a fully customized design plan and mock up that suits your unique style, so that you are confident in the overall aesthetic of your event before you see it on your wedding day.

    Event Production
    There will be a team onsite for the entire weekend so that you have someone to oversee every detail–from your rehearsal dinner through to your morning after brunch.

    Communication
    You will have unlimited access to your planner via email or phone so that you have support when you need it throughout the entire planning process. You will also be invited to our online planning system which allows you to seamlessly integrate wedding planning into your life with things like text reminders about important to-do’s and upcoming payment deadlines.

    Post-wedding Support
    In the event you would like your wedding submitted for publication, we will oversee the curation of your image gallery so that your submission beautifully portrays the narrative of your event.

    Wedding Day Planning +Custom Design Partnership

    Tap into our trusted vendor relationships, rely on our keen eye for design, and allow us to manage the logistics so that you can avoid the inevitable pitfalls that pop up during the planning process.

    Your venue is booked–along with one or two amazing vendors–but you’re just not sure where to go from here. While your venue coordinator is amazing, you have so many questions unrelated to the space that you wish you could ask someone you trust.

    This partnership is perfect for you if you’ve started off strong, but you’re left wondering what’s next. With our council, you won’t waste time (or money!) stressing over things like:

    • Finding the right hair and makeup team who can help you curate a complete bridal look.
    • Managing complex transportation logistics for hundreds of people.
    • Creating a customized, cohesive and unique aesthetic experience for your event from the save the dates to the favors.
    • The stationery process: keeping track of RSVPs, calculating proper postage, navigating multiple envelopes, and determining which type of calligraphy works best on the color and texture of your envelopes. Designing your paper suite can be incredibly overwhelming!

    Instead, you’ll feel relaxed as you check things off of your digital “to-do” list, confident that you’re making the right choices for your event.

    We will work alongside your venue coordinator to provide comprehensive support as you plan your event (including additional vendor referrals) so that you always have a trusted expert to advise you throughout the process.

    Design
    We will collaborate with your team of creative vendors (like your florist and rental company) in order to create a fully customized design plan and mock up that suits your unique style so that you are confident in the overall aesthetic of your design choices before you see them at your event.

    Event Production
    This includes a team onsite for the entire day of your wedding, overseeing every detail from start to finish.

    Communication
    You will have unlimited access to your planner via email or phone so that you have support when you need it throughout the entire planning process. You will also be invited to our online planning system which allows you to seamlessly integrate wedding planning into your life with things like text reminders about important to-do’s and upcoming payment deadlines.

    Wedding Day Planning Partnership

    You’ll be able to enjoy the final stages of planning without the worry of last-minute challenges, unplanned venue restrictions, forgotten details, or day-of blunders, allowing you to be fully present on your wedding day. This Partnership is perfect for you if you have an aesthetic vision for your event, but you want to be sure you haven’t missed any logistical details that could be detrimental to the success of your event. We’ll be by your side to provide vendor recommendations, timeline and infrastructure support, and of course we’ll be there on wedding day to manage your bridal party, vendors and all the details.

    You have planned most of the big-picture aspects of your wedding, but you want to be sure you haven’t overlooked anything a pro would know. Plus, you really need someone to wrangle your groomsmen, double check every detail, and keep your event running on schedule.

    Unlike a traditional ‘day-of coordinator,’ or even a ‘month-of coordinator,’ our role is more integrated into the planning process so that on your wedding day. You’ll feel as if you’ve had us all along.

    We will make recommendations for your remaining vendors and provide advice and support during the months before your event so that we can make sure that all of the logistics are properly handled, and all of the details are accurately accounted for.

    Design
    We will happily offer inspiration or recommendations on your design plans so that your event is a chic representation of your personal style.

    Event Production
    This includes a team onsite for the entire day of your event so that you have someone to oversee every detail from start to finish.

    Communication
    You have regular meetings throughout the months leading up to your event, and as your wedding date draws closer, you will have unlimited access to your planner. You will also be invited to our online planning system which allows you to seamlessly integrate wedding planning into your life with things like text reminders about important to-do’s and upcoming payment deadlines.
